Curtis Perry is a Canadian performing arts photographer with a performing arts background.

Having gone to music school and completed graduate studies in musicology, he spent over ten years variously composing music and having it workshopped and performed, wrote about music for publications such as the CBC, acted as a judge for the Juno awards, and helped put on concerts with a local new music organization in Ottawa.

This is the background that he brought when he first volunteered to shoot a concert by Kathryn Patricia at the Record Centre in 2021. Since then, he has become the go-to photographer for Ottawa's arts scene—music, theatre, dance, and more—and maintains a portrait practice at Breezehill Studios North

(Fun fact—not only is he the NAC Orchestra's photographer, but the orchestra workshopped one of his compositions when he was a teenager!)

While remaining devotedly local, Curtis has incidentally received international attention through his work, having been published by magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler and Germany's The Heritage Post. In May and June 2025, he will travel with the NAC Orchestra in a tour of South Korea and Japan, visiting six cities.

Curtis is grateful to every organization, person, and community who has and continues to put their trust in him to tell their story, represent them, and document well.
